New News launches

The latest updates

The South/Central Ohio based radio station, KNWGM, has begun its first print  newsletter, KNWGM News. An unbiased source of irrefutable facts and even less refutable opinions. Here you will find articles on firearms, historical pieces, current events, reviews of camping equipment, letters to the editor, personal columns, and at least one more thing. This is the last good newspaper in this country. Remember when President Harding owned the Marion Star? Well this newspaper is directly funded by Joe Biden*. This paper will continue as long as the money keeps coming. It costs no less than $15 a year to run it. This is a weekly publication, so that means each issue costs us at least 14 cents. This is a nearly irrecoverable cost unless we get viewer support, so send us your money. KNWGM mei yo chen!

They Want to Dump Fucking Garbage in Morral, Ohio.

Daily news updates and opinions

This is such shit.

There is a company looking to purchase 400 acres in Salt Rock Township east of the railroad tracks to put in a construction debris landfill.  Basically the block east of the tracks bordered by Irvin Shoots to Baer Road.

There is a township trustee meeting next week, and it is important that residents begin to get informed and support the trustees in fighting this.

More information will be coming, but please make all area residents in Salt Rock Twp. and Grand Prairie Twp (downwind) know about this.

Your voice will need heard - get ready.

Please share!

I have plagiarized this directly from a Facebook post. It says “Please share!” at the end of the post so they shouldn’t try to fuck me. But I digress. Israelites are attempting to store their refuse and detritus here in Agartha (Morral, Ohio). This is very icky! This has to be stopped immediately! Perhaps some concerned reader could plant a bomb at their house or along a roadside where they are planning on doing this. Thanks in advance!

You want to know how to shoot a rifle? Well first you have to know where it hits. How do you make it hit where you want? You zero it retard. Read about it.

Page 2

Navy SEALs are retarded, we all know this. But the Navy Surface Warfare Center isn’t. They know how to make good rifles. Three of them in fact.

Page 3

You just read an article on why it is important for all rifles in a squad to share 5.56. So why should handguns not be 9mm? Because they invented 10mm.

Zeroing Your Rifle

Hit What You Are Aiming At.

When zeroing a rifle the most important factors are zeroing distance (For example 25 or 100 yards) and height over bore (typically around 2.6 to 2.8in on an AR type rifle. Taller mounts such as NV height risers or carry handle mounts will further increase this. Height over bore on an AR-15 is 1.22in higher than your listed mount height when using a flat top. The reason these are the most important factors when zeroing any rifle is that your given zero distance combined with your height over bore will drastically affect your drop compensation at both extremely short and long ranges, such as 10 yards and 600 yards. If you have a high mounted optic and you zero it at an excessively short range such as 25 yards. You will have an extremely high rainbow trajectory that will send your shots over the target at typical ranges like 100 to 200 yards. Then it will come back down around 400 yards then dive drastically, not even reaching the target at 500 yards. Zeroing your rifle at a range such as 100 yards will give a steady climb of the round to meet your line of sight at that given distance, at which point it will slightly sail over the line of sight at approximately 150 yards by a mere couple of inches before coming back down to meet the line of sight again at around 200 yards. The range at which you can fire without having to compensate for drop is called "Point blank range". Point blank does not mean 5 yards. It means something different depending on how you zero the rifle.

You can have a point blank range as far as 400 yards if you zero correctly. However this does not come without its own drawbacks. Properly calculating your height over bore then your ballistic coefficient (how aerodynamic the bullet is in flight) and your muzzle velocity will allow you to select a range to zero at which will give you a good balance of point blank range and in-excessive short and long range compensation. I have attached a typical setup of a 16 inch barrel (giving a velocity of 3,050 feet per second) and a 55gr boat tailed projectile. Simulating M193 ball ammunition from a regular civilian type AR. As well as a height over bore of 2.85 inches, as is the case with a Sig "Lower 1/3 cowitness" mount. A topic for another time. That exact setup with a zeroing distance of 100 yards will stretch your point blank range out to approximately 300 yards. So for any target at less than 300 yards you will have an offset between your point of aim and point of impact of less than 3.5 MOA. Well within acceptable limits. Your exact setup may differ. This zeroing distance also works well with the built in "drop dots" in the reticle in the given sight, which are positioned at 5, 9, and 15 MOA. Which translate to 350, 450 and 600 yards with the given setup.

NSWCC and the Three Uppers

The Practical AR Dichotomy

The Navy Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana, had an idea for a new set of weapons designed around the already new M4A1 carbine. Their idea was that the issued rifles of the time, namely the M16A2 and A3 rifle were too long and unwieldy for typical combat. They were evidently right, as years later the Army adopted the M4 as its primary fighting rifle, and the Marines adopted the M27 IAR as both its rifle and machine gun. The Navy saw this much earlier, and wanted to develop an entire system around the idea. The M4 would be the primary rifle, not a rear line weapon for drivers or artillerymen. The second weapon was a “Submachine gun” or “Commando”. This ultimately became the Mk 18 Mod 0 CQBR, or “Close Quarters Battle Receiver/Rifle”. It was essentially an M4 Carbine with the barrel cut as short as it could be before running into the front sight post. A 10.3 inch barrel was the product of this cut, 4.2 inches shorter than the M4 it was made from. This allowed it to be used in confined spaces like ships or oil platforms that Navy SEALs were raiding at the time. When equipped with a silencer it was as long as an M4 was without one. However this was not a comprehensive modification, it was very simple and could be done on the cheap.

For the Mk 12 Mod 0 this was not the case. The Mk 12 SPR (Special Purpose Receiver/Rifle) was a total conversion. It was envisioned as a rifle for a marksman, that used the same ammunition and magazines as the typical rifleman, armed with an M4. It was built on an 18 inch match grade stainless steel barrel, even this was shorter than the issued M16. It was then equipped with a free floating carbon fiber handguard from PRI and a monolithic top rail from A.R.M.S. which bridged from the receiver over the top of the round handguard. This allowed scopes to be mounted off of the front of the receiver with traditional scope rings, and laser modules to hold a solid zero even mounted out front. The stainless barrel was also equipped with a special muzzle brake and mounting collar for an OPS Inc 12th Model silencer. The silencer was mounted this special way because not only did this prevent a wandering zero when attaching or detaching the silencer, but it actually tightened the groups when mounted. It was finally equipped with a magnified optic, usually in the 2-10x range. This was to be the long range option of the three mated rifles.

There are plenty of wrong ways to set up an AR-15, look at the one sitting next to you, chances are it is stupid. But talking about all possible bad AR setups would take more than an article, it would probably take a coffee table book or bible. So instead lets talk about the 3 best AR setups, and how the U.S. Navy invented the idea of them.

Our story begins in ancient history, before GWOT, the year One-Thousand Nine-Hundred and Ninety-Eight.

So What is the Point? Why do I have to Read this?

A continuation of the previous article.

The point isn’t to directly clone these rifles (However that is VERY popular with internet autists). The point is to clone the idea. Crane wanted to produce three uppers all for the same M4 lower, which could be swapped out as the situation dictated. The same idea applies to you. Having an upper for short, an upper for long, and an upper for whatever it is you call “Mid range” is a good idea. My choice of barrel length is dictated by the retarded silencer I want to use, so my chosen lengths are 12.5, 14.5 and 18 inches. Yours could just as easily be 11.5, 13.9 and 17.7. Even a 16 inch upper can be practical for “long range”. Later in the Mk 12 lifecycle they were swapped to 16 inch barrels. Later the Mk 18 was more or less replaced by 11.5 uppers. The exact length isn't important. The concept is. Optics package on its own is more important than barrel length is for determining effective range. I haven't even scratched the surface on AR setup, but keep this particular idea in your head. Small, Medium, and Large. Close, Middle, Far. All lightweight, usable rifles with the same lower using the same ammo.

This can also be dictated by the area you live in, or choose to operate in. Morral, Ohio engagement ranges may be 1200 yards. Nelsonville engagement ranges may be 12 yards. In either case your “General Purpose Rifle” may have a barrel length that people in lesser jurisdictions would consider ridiculous. Redditors with 8 inch ARs that they use to sweep their studio apartment may think I'm retarded for mainlining an 18 inch rifle. But this same concept still applies nonetheless. Keep all of these in your stable and have them ready for whatever comes up. They are all in 5.56 and can be swapped onto any lower in 10 seconds. You don’t even need an extra bolt carrier. All of them share spare parts with your other uppers and the rifles of the others in your squad. Each one is reasonably effective at all ranges (provided you are competent enough to shoot at all ranges), the specialization just changes. You could take an SPR house clearing if you needed to, and still could be effective with it. We will talk more about this later, but this is an introduction to the idea.

A selection of Bren Ten Pistols. The firearm spearheaded the use of 10mm auto. An American sized CZ-75

Stopping Powah

The Case for 10mm Auto

You just read an entire article on having a stable of different firearms chambered in the common 5.56 NATO cartridge, partially because 5.56 is common, and easily acquired in both times of peace, and times of George Floyd type civil unrest. So why would I recommend the use of a pistol cartridge other than 9mm?

A limited selection of 10mm Auto pistols and holsters for those pistols may also be important to consider. If you don’t like 1911s or one of several Glock copies then your choices are very very slim. I would also make fun of you for using a 1911 unironically so consider that.

10mm carry pistols are a meme. Do not think for a second I am endorsing those. So with that having been said, what am I endorsing? Duty pistols in 10mm auto. Pistols carried on a belt with a real badass holster, like for police of military, or people wanting to act like police or military. Why? Because of enhanced range. The range of 10mm auto is immense. The energy of .45 AARP at the muzzle is less than 10mm at 100 yards. And if you are drawing a duty pistol it may be because you have to fight at ranges where you would be better off with a rifle. Like 100 yards. If your rifle runs out of ammo, or is damaged, or has an unclearable malfunction then you would rather have a 10mm than a 9mm. Even if you are using gucci ammo like Critical Defense or Gold Dot then you still wont get expansion at ranges like 100 yards. So raw energy is what will count. 200 grains at 1200 feet per second is a lot more energy than 115 grains at 1100 feet per second. The limitations are that it requires a larger framed pistol, one that would usually be for .45 rather than 9mm, increased ammo weight, decreased capacity, and increased recoil. Larger frame may be a problem, getting your hands around a typical 9mm isn't hard unless its a Glock, but getting your hands around a 10mm double stack may be challenging. And this can compound the issue with recoil. Increased weight in ammo is a drawback but not an insurmountable one, especially if you are only carrying a small amount, like 100 rounds in a bag, or just 45 on a belt or rig. The decrease in capacity isn't one I consider significant. A pistol that would carry 17 9mm instead carries 15 10mm. And for a duty pistol role extended mags aren't exactly obtrusive.

Increased recoil? This can be a problem for compact pistols, but please reread the first thing I said. For full sized pistols like the P320 X-Ten and Glock 20 the recoil is more than manageable by me, an anemic weakling. So If you consider that a problem I implore you to man the fuck up. Other than that the last problem is the availability of 10mm ammunition during times of unrest or outright armed conflict. This is a good point for rifles or for people who only own one gun. But your pistol is a backup, and will seldom need to be used. If you run out of rifle ammo or have a malfunction and your pistol actually manages to save you consider that one in a million. Carrying even one recharge of ammunition should be plenty. So I don’t consider finding more to be of great importance. In a squad of 5-10 men, just having 100 rounds spare to refill 2 men is totally acceptable. Making those 100 rounds far more effective is of greater importance. This also raises the question of whether or not a pistol is even worth carrying, but that is for another article. The chance of catastrophic malfunction is low, and if you are running out of rifle ammo, carry more rifle ammo in the spot where your pistol goes you fucking retard. The space that a pistol and two spare mags occupies can instead carry 120 more rifle rounds. But on the other hand carrying a pistol is really cool.

Zero for Two

I hate the gay retards over at Spotify ™ and they should burn in piss for eternity. Even though I hate music (because it fucking sucks), I am inclined to listen from time to time. A white boy needs his fill of nightcore Trout Mask Replica. What better way to listen in to Vril steeped into audio form? Spotify. Where to start, the worst mobile app EVAR (XD) or the broken and infuriating website? Let’s start with the lesser of the two evils, the desktop version. I will make one thing clear, I will not fork over the [Insert Spotify Premium Price because I won’t look it up] every month so that I can get my next 30 minutes ad-free. For some reason, my adblocker not only allows me to crank to the soothing tunes of Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band at 2 times speed, but also allows me to have infinite skips instead of the plebian 6 per hour allotted to those who won’t empty their savings account into Big Music’s pocket. Well. The lizard people in Jelq Brayden’s shadow government thought that I was goofing off a little too much. NOW, all of a sudden, Spotify feels the need to automatically skip tens of songs and never play them in that instance of Spotify. It claims that they don’t have access to the song and that if I really want to, I can upload it from my computer. Blud!!! That’s why I’m using Spotify!! I don’t have Hazbin Hotel OST on my HDD, that’s why I am asking you!!!! I have been edged and gimped from listening to my music and on top of that it still plays ads. But the important distinction is that the ad itself does not play. Some unspecified amount of app-breaking silence takes over instead. An unskippable “ad” “plays” and brings a halt to my Agarthan jam sesh. You’re raping the vibe, bro?

Now for the real bad evil that sucks bad. The Mobile Version… I don’t have an adblocker on my phone. Some may blame the Bill Gates iPhone for lack of function (more like gain of function Mr. Gates… vvv vvv vvv) or some may blame me for owning one, but it still stands, I cannot into adblock on my phone. This means that I get the really cucked 6 skips per hour and unskippable ads that don’t ever give me 30 minutes of uninterrupted tunes (hyperbole). That is to be expected I do suppose. But the worst part is the functionality. Say you want to listen to a song on your “Liked Songs” list. You click the playlist to find that it only shows you a handful of songs off that album, in no particular order. Under it just tells you some of the artists on this album of liked songs. Ok, odd. So you click a song, not the one you wanted to hear. It plays a sample of the song, as it you were taste testing the song on iTunes in 2014 before you went and asked your mom for $1.29 to buy the latest Tobuscus song. What it doesn’t play is the song. Ok whatever. Let me listen to my gooning playlist. Plays a few songs and then Spotify feels the need to add songs to YOUR playlist that it thinks belong there. Bad stuff!! Oh and let’s say there was a really good part of a song you wanted to hear. Good luck rewinding!! You can’t!! I don’t know how Spotify tricked so many people into using their dirty stinky no good application.
